This one is one of the best, in my opinion. The drama of the story is left intact. Very little is removed from the book. The acting is solid, throughout, especially George C. Scott's. The effects are the weak point of the film, having originally been produced for television. But everything else about it is so great. "

"HANDS DOWN the BEST version of the Dickens tale EVER. George C. Scott is IMMACULATE as the miserly Scrooge, and every other role is just as superbly acted. Not just that, but the Tiny Tim in this movie actually LOOKS seriously ill (unlike most modern productions). I could go on and on about this movie, honestly. The spirits were casted and acted with perfection. The standout performance without a doubt is Edward Woodward as Christmas Present."

But this one has originality and makes Dickens book come to life. Side note: Fred his nephew has a relationship. Tiny Tim actually looks sick. The ghosts actually haunt Scrooge. The music is majestic, imaginative and transcendental. Btw Christmas Present really rocks you to the core. Every character is unforgettable. Watch!"
