The themes are intense and I can tell you that as a white woman I was super uncomfortable in the best way possible. We need to be reminded of our privilege. I learned about the story in the Pioneer Museum when I was a child, and could not imagine they would make such an amazing film adoption for it. Would recommend wholeheartedly as a way to see past your misconceptions of people, and misconceptions of the world."
