"This was much better than I expected it to be. Kind of an Indian version of John Wick at least in the fight sequences, but not in a Bollywood way. Pretty good mix of music in the soundtrack as well. Some of the fight scenes were particularly brutal and bloody, and that's not a complaint. A well done action/revenge movie that holds onto its own cultural identity. 8/10"
"Really good revenge/action movie directed by and starring Dev Patel. It’s kind of all over the place, both story telling and directorial wise. Patel tries all the trick shots and experimentation scene to scene, and while some don’t hit home, the majority that do are magic. Very cool to be exposed to other cultures and parts of the world not normally tread. Some absolute stand out fight scenes that are kinda hidden in the ultimate, bloody, gory, violent chaos it evolves into. Fun action flick. "
"A gritty, dark free fall of a man's search for vengeance. It begins slowly and escalates into a maddening, chaotic display of frenetic fight scenes (albeit very well choreographed). Dev Patel is surprisingly believable and nimble as a broken man filled with rage, delivering a gratifying display of blood, gore, and death. "
"Superb! While this may appear like a revenge movie or an Indian John Wick version, it is actually way more deep than that. This movie brings visibility to India’s cast system, corruption, violence against minority groups. It has tough scenes to watch sure, lots of gore, blood and violent scenes but what’s more upsetting is the poverty and kids sleeping on the streets. It also goes through the various cultures and beliefs and shows quite a surprising marginalized identity in India one may not suspect."

"This is a surprising gripping movie! I didn't expect that at all. DEV is a really excellent actor. He played the angry, broken character role so well as well as its rise to mastering emotions and channeling the anger power. And it is his directorial debut which is even more excellent as the movie was seemless and fight scenes brilliantly done. 👏 also first Indian movie shows slums and cross dressers I think 🤔 in details, mind-blowing.
Note: none of the Indian language was translated English, which is a bit hard to follow the roles. At least in the version I saw.
Another notr: this is the Indian John wick but the poorer version and not assassin and less guns. Lol
I recommend!!
Enjoy!

"This movieis incredible has a serious plot tons of action and phenomenal acting I mean could you expect anything less when it comes to dev Patel. I saw this with my husband who is from India and he felt confused not bythe storyline or anything like that but by the fact that an English film actually include the slums and the gritty underworld of India. He has never seen representation like that and the inclusion and the talks of the 3rd gender society in India was a bizarre experience to see it so seamlessly threaded and woven into the film. It was cool to get his perspective as well"
