"Just what you expect this film, there is a haunting and somber feel to the sets, locations, and discourse of the characters. There are a lot of good performances. Johnny Depp gives a quiet but determined performance opposite Ian Holm and other English actors. The last half hour is very thrilling and makes up for the extremely slow pace of the plot. Overall, this is a well acted movie."
"Over the top! Scenery chewing! Full camp with some incredible gore and body horror. I laughed and got grossed out at different intervals. Notably, was able to enjoy this film despite Depp being cancelled for me. TW: bodily horrors against women incl. Genital mutilation, and other overt misogyny #psychopathology #violence_and_harassment #camp"
"Man you know what’s really from hell is 1880s London! Visceral, stylish retelling of the Royal Conspiracy with a lot of nuance paid to the classism, racism and xenophobia involved in solving (or not solving) the Ripper case. aaaand this is why we need more filmmakers of color! Great disturbing flick. "
"Great movie! "

"This is a different line taken in the story of Jack the Ripper. I really like this version."
