"The first time I saw this I didn’t get it either, @shemdani — it literally WAS pulp fiction (exaggerated storytelling & over-the-top violence)…. The two things that stuck with me the first time I saw this was (1) the sheer #violence (I had never seen anything so violent, not since seeing A CLOCKWORK ORANGE), and (2) the scene with Marcellus & Butch in the bondage basement with the Gimp 🙀🙀 (I remember my husband & another friend wanting to walk out of the theater at that point) … This movie is definitely one that makes for an #interesting discussion & to ponder WHY this film is the way it is and what its central theme could be. It’s definitely #odd or #quirky and #off_beat for a reason, right? I have many opinions about it, & I realize its #darkhumor is NOT for every viewer, but the cast is good, both John Travolta & Samuel Jackson are excellent, but so are Uma Thurman & Harvey Keitel."

"There’s nothing I love more than a cleverly written script!! It was fascinating seeing the circular nature of the story unfold, ending where we started off! Tarantino is many things, but a lazy screenwriter is not one of them! The only thing I didn’t like about the film was the scene with Marsellus in the pawn shop (iykyk). It just made me really uncomfortable and it was hard to watch. Besides that, I totally understand why this movie is considered a classic!"
