A fast read- could not put down. What an ending!

Had an unexpected twist! Slow beginning, but picks up the pace.

Such a great and simultaneously hard read. The description of the era and struggles that came with it made it hard to put down. Trigger warning: multiple scenes that do not describe, but allude to child rape.

Trigger Warning: traumatic loss of a child towards the end of the book.

Trigger warning: at the beginning, the murder is portrayed as a suicide and shows a gun shot wound to the head.
