I couldn’t stop reading it as I was expecting the author to reveal a shocking revelation before the end of the book, but I was fairly disappointed in the ending. The foreshadowing made the ending obvious and Starling’s explanation for the mysteries of Lindridge Hall was too abstract for my liking. I still give this book a thumbs up out of respect for the author for creating such a unique and intricate story which I’m sure others would enjoy.

I couldn’t stop reading! Rooney does a fantastic job of depicting the complex feelings and immature choices of young adult love.

Christie keeps you on your toes throughout the book and the end is shocking!

Harper’s story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. She offers her insight into the medical industry as a female person of color with a difficult upbringing. She takes the reader on a journey through the highs and lows of the ER and shares her patient’s stories, which connect to a much bigger picture of a society broken by inequality.
