I really liked this smartly written book. Even though the mom thinks she is turning into a dog, her transformation is believable and even relatable. I was disappointed in the ending because it was a little too neat and tidy and, to be honest, tame. However, I would still highly recommend this book!

I have mixed feelings about this book. As a fan of slasher movies, I loved the concept. I wasn't so happy with the execution (no pun intended). The main character Lynette is a ball of contradictions. She's supposed to be really hypervigilant, but she really stinks at it. Maybe that was intentional, but I often found myself thinking that if she really was the way she was portrayed, there's no way in hell she would have done X, Y, or Z. Some of the other characters (eg Garrett) weren't believable.
