I like how it accurately shows how war can effect anybody, no matter how much or how little they lost.

First off, the writing is quite rudimentary, and some of the dialects are foreign. But that's what I liked about it🖤The author wanted us to see through the eyes of a child. I think to work through an otherworldly situation you have to be old enough to understand but young enough to not have a hard head. When you're a child everything seems possible, but as an adult you think your choices are limited.

Okay I've read two of Jason Reynolds' books and let me take a minute to applaud. What I like about him is that he adds this..quiet power to his books. In Long Way Down it was like he was telling me I had the power to make my own decision without outright telling me, know what I mean? That I was in control of my own self and destiny. And I got the same vibe from this book, I also love the representation that he had. Miles is half black & half Puerto Rican and his bsf is Asian!

Ahh!🖤🖤🖤. Another book that felt like coming to home... As usual, Sarah whisked me away with her world-building and enticing characters. By the third book, you've really grown attached to the characters, feel like they're real people and they're yours.💛💛.. There was love here. Difficult, unyielding, free and true. Between freinds and families and lovers. Thats what I loved most. I felt it. I can't wait to read the next book. And expect me to do an overall review of the whole series.👍🏾

Ah, high school. Where you lose your friends and your individuality could be snatched in an instant. Where you never know what goes on through the minds of your peers, or how low someone can stoop just to fit in. Relevant and suspenseful this book is. And will make you think twice about who you pick and choose for friends. Quality over quantity.....

"You cannot lose something you do not own." Its feminism at its highest. Lada Dracul came out a screaming demon. And not even the lowest of devils could silence her. She was ruthless, and kind of selfish. She offered herself to no one and even when she surrendered herself to those who deserved it she held herself strong to those who opposed her, and was never sorry. She's as hard-headed as a mule, and that strength in time became her weakness.. I love Lada. She made me proud to be a girl.

This is the 5th book of the series. And reading this, felt like coming home to me. Coming home to friends. This edition was different though, I could feel that Ransom did put more genuine feeling in this. In this book, he put into perspective of the downside of being a teenage hero; it can hype up your anxiety, or make you go a bit insane...but that's why friends are rare, and important🤗. All in all, it was truthful. Especially with characters. I can't wait to read the sixth book🖤
