The epitome of black power. It was a while before I could pick up this book b/c of it's intimidating size. But bro- this story is nothing short of captivating. It's message will make you realize the strength you lost.

A gem. A rarity. This book teaches healing and acception. It's poetic dialogue may miss the first time but it's all worth it. You'll come out a new person with a new appreciation for life and the little moments

I like how it accurately shows how war can effect anybody, no matter how much or how little they lost.
A Court of Frost and Starlight
Books | Sarah J. Maas
First off, the writing is quite rudimentary, and some of the dialects are foreign. But that's what I liked about it🖤The author wanted us to see through the eyes of a child. I think to work through an otherworldly situation you have to be old enough to understand but young enough to not have a hard head. When you're a child everything seems possible, but as an adult you think your choices are limited.
The Graveyard Book

Okay I've read two of Jason Reynolds' books and let me take a minute to applaud. What I like about him is that he adds this..quiet power to his books. In Long Way Down it was like he was telling me I had the power to make my own decision without outright telling me, know what I mean? That I was in control of my own self and destiny. And I got the same vibe from this book, I also love the representation that he had. Miles is half black & half Puerto Rican and his bsf is Asian!
Miles Morales: Spider-Man

"Coming to this school was like starting a wildfire that immediately raged out of control. Not to mention that I remind people of the past in the worst possible ways." Mystery novels ususally take me out of my comfort zone & I like how this one surprised me. Unexpectedly & thankfully there was no Chosen One trope;I liked how the MC was forced out of her comfoet zone, discovered & conquered new limits, and saw herself in a whole new light with each chapter. The characters overall were nothing short of enigmatic. November herself was very relatable, I experienced her perspective on a personal level. This was a thrilling mission & I enjoyed it immensely💖🖤💖
