An entertaining show for the most part. Don't be fooled by the title, Ladybug is focused on 99% of the time while Chat Noir gets the focus 1% of the time. The episodes can be in a super weird order sometimes so it's best you watch it with an episode guide. The characters are decent, Ladybug tends to do very questionable things at times and doesn't treat Chat Noir the best. You'll notice that it becomes less of a partnership and more of a superhero-sidekick deal as the series goes on. Which is pretty annoying for some people. Don't count on the two main characters actually getting together anytime soon. And also don't expect top tier writing because there are many episodes the team makes very questionable choices. If the show alone doesn't satisfy you, there's a plethora of fan material to dig your teeth into that might. Not the best show in the world, can teach harmful messages here and there, but it's overall a heartfelt show with likeable characters and fun villian designs. Just don't expect too much from it.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir
Shows | Action & Adventure
The beginning is very rushed since Brotherhood came when Studio Bones was riding off the success of their original adaptation of the manga from 2003. Compared to that, Brotherhood is obviously much closer to the source material since there was more to adapt. With Brotherhood came a new barrage of characters, and more comedic moments, all animated in incredibly beautiful scenes. Each episode is a treat for the eyes, with vibrant colors, crisp art and incredible dubbing if you're looking for it. Prepare for a very emotional journey. This anime can be incredibly gorey at times. Overall, Brotherhood is a faithful adaptation that you're sure to enjoy if you've finished or read through original manga.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Shows | Action & Adventure
It's not very fair to compare this series to Brotherhood, the more faithful adaptation in terms of correlation to the original source material. Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) was created when the manga was still running, so once the anime caught up, they had no choice but to diverge and finish the story themselves. You'll notice watching Brotherhood and 2003 that there's a stark contrast with the style, whether it's the art, tone, music or characterizations. 2003 adds more development to their small pool of characters, focusing on a more personal journey. I'd argue there's a deeper sense of realism in 2003 than in Brotherhood, as there are layers that create a more human, complex character. You'll also notice that relationships are handled differently, too, and some characters get much more screen time. Overall, 2003 offers a more ethical, philosophical experience while Brotherhood offers a more lighthearted, action packed one.

A disappointment for some, but I find it entertaining for what it is. A story of friendship between two different species. It's not the most memorable experience, but as a feel good movie, Pixar excels as usual on the emotional front. Very touching movie if you can look past some boring scenes and annoying characters. Arlo and the boy are both simple and charming characters, and since their bond is the heart of the film, it carries well. It's probably best as a comfort film.

The Good Dinosaur
Movies | Adventure
Very unique series, gives old school storytelling/fairytale vibes. Has some very spooky scenes. Can be morbid at times. The characters are very charming and memorable, and the series doesn't move too slow. There are some moments that don't move on fast enough but overall it's well paced. Recommended you watch on Halloween for the full experience.

Over the Garden Wall
Shows | Mystery
Has a morbid scene where some form of mass murder is heavily implied, possibly referenced. Overall a feel good, heartfelt movie with gorgeous visuals and good characters.
