"I've finally finished all the seasons on (Canadian) Netflix, and I adore it! it's meant for entertainment primarily, but it's such a great medium to learn a bit about American drag culture through! on top of that, I learned how important it is to keep drag around as a form of art, expression and fun, and it's a light for people of all ages who might be interested in drag, but too anxious to try. it's entertaining, emotional, frustrating, intense, and definitely filled with "charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent!""
"Start at Season 5. As time moves on, things get more inclusionary too, as some of the dumb transpophic Ru comments disappear, and trans contestants compete (male, female and non-binary), as well as a cis gay woman (Drag Race UK/Drag Race All Stars Canada) and a cis heterosexual man. As the show says, "Drag is for everyone", so this show is for you, no matter who you are-- if you have any taste in reality shows. 😂"
"RuPaul may be a problematic figure but I'm thankful for the amazing queens we get to meet through this show, the talent of the contestants impresses me more every season & we meet so many beautiful queer artists through RPDR! Thankful for what he's done for drag in the mainstream but still giving RuPaul the side eye 👀 (oh you mean the fracking?)"
