When Robert “Granddad” Freeman becomes legal guardian to his two grandsons, he moves from the tough south side of Chicago to the upscale neighborhood of Woodcrest (a.k.a. "The Boondocks") so he can enjoy his golden years in safety and comfort. "I loved the first season fyi but everything gets dumbed down after the first season. The character designs, movement, and expressions become more animeesque, loosing the newspaper comic grounding it once had and what little social commentary it had gets overshadowed by the buffoonery. I’m not saying you can’t have fun but the first season had a balance that the seasons after lost. "
