"How I hadn't realized this was a Stephen King book before, I have no idea. Recently I've been reading and watching a lot of his stuff though, so when I made the connection I read it immediately. I thought it was going to be scary but it really wasn't. Good book though and not very long. "
"For The Spooky Halloween Season And After Finishing My Reading Challenge I Thought I Would Finally Venture Into The World Of Stephen King. This Book Was Interesting It Was Almost Like Watching A Netflix Documentary But Reading It. There Are Some Outdated Terms As A Warning And Outdated Views That I Do Not Support But Overall It Was A Great Short Read And Very Similar To The Movies."
"This was a quick read for me. Can feel the sadness that followed Carrie around. "

"One of those rare instances where the movie was better than the book."

"Unhinged, this book was probably the most disturbing King Book I’ve read so far. It was a very interesting read, and I found myself making comparisons to the tale of the “ugly duckling” a lot except dark and twisted to another level. The book is interspaced with different interviews and books written about the tragedy that happens at the end of the book. It’s a interesting way to write it and I like the creativity of it. That being said I wouldn’t say I enjoyed the execution at times. It felt off putting to the flow of the book. My favorite part of the book was the slow buildup and it just felt like the switching between the future and present jerked you away from being excited to turn the next page. Still a great read Carrie’s mother is creepy as hell and some of the scenes with her and Carrie are genuinely fearsome. 25/30"
