"I love this series. I didn't even realise it was a book until after I saw the movie and decided to search it up. The book is really good. Quite funny, too and just all round full of Crazy Rich Asians shenanigans, if you know what that is. Not that I do but the book did a great job of explaining it. A solid 3.75 stars!"

"Crazy Rich Asians the book is so much more different than the movie. Although the movie is an absolute comfort movie for me, CRA the book was by far more enjoyable. Rachel and Nick have been dating for about a year, but she knows very little about his family. She thinks, maybe he’s just embarrassed to talk about them because they’re poor. But little does she know, it’s truly because of the opposite. They’re CRAZY RICH ASIANS. And by Crazy, we mean CRAZY RICH. Rachel doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into until they touch down in Singapore; only to find that Nick kept his family under wraps for a reason. Follow Rachel as she navigates through the glitz and glamour of the Asian elites and her love life with Nick! "

"This story feels like an elaborate setup for future books. Excessive descriptions of wealth can become redundant the further along you read. It feels like there are too many characters without a stationary main character to ground the reader. It takes so long for Rachel and Nick to show up that I forgot about them. Surprisingly, the author describes this as a comedy, but I didn’t see a whole lot of humor. I would love a book all about Astrid. Anyways, I didn’t hate reading it, it just became tedious at some points. Give it a chance, it is still worth it. I haven’t been able to consider tackling the next books though because this one wiped me out. "
