The Unhoneymooners meets The Hating Game in this breezy debut romantic comedy about life--and love--30,000 feet above the ground. After ten years as a flight attendant, Ava Greene is poised to hang up her wings and finally put down roots. She's got one trip left before she bids her old life farewell, and she plans to enjoy every second of it. But then she discovers that former pilot Jack Stone--the absurdly gorgeous, ridiculously cocky man she's held a secret grudge against for years--is on her flight. And he has the nerve to flirt with her, as if he doesn't remember the role he played in the most humiliating night of her life. Good thing she never has to see him again after they land....But when their plane encounters mechanical problems, what should have been a quick stop at the Belize airport suddenly becomes a weekend layover. Getting stuck on a three-hour flight with her nemesis was bad enough. Being stranded with him at a luxury resort in paradise? Even with the sultry breeze and white sand to distract her, it will take all the rum punch in the country to drown out his larger-than-life presence. Yet the more time Ava spends with him under the hot Caribbean sun, the more she begins to second-guess everything she thought she knew about him...and everything she thought she wanted from her life. And all too soon, she might have to choose between keeping her feet on the ground and her head in the clouds....

"I was lucky enough to read this on my flight to Arizona. It was beyond fun experiencing the same hiccups that Ava describes as I was reading about them. The author is currently a flight attendant and I admire all the knowledge she poured into the story which made it a lot more engaging. So while on my trip I was smiling and exhilarated and I was unsure if it was from the book or being above 30,000 ft.<br/><br/>This is a forced proximity, enemies to lovers which is always a favorite for me. Ava trying not to be her parents cuts herself off from nomad friends and Jack is too handsome for his own good. Even the supporting characters were fun and enriching. Gen bright and wild just said what I guess all flight attendants are thinking. Which of course made me love her. And the two random free spirits we meet later on just added to the adventure.<br/><br/>This book didn't break any new barriers and was a little predictable. Still, I found it a reliable comforting read. It was just what I needed at the exact time I needed it. I love travel, laughing and falling head over heels for a story. And that is exactly what happened here.<br/><br/><br/><br/>"Oh Abercrombie's coming too," Celeste says, staring down the path.<br/>"Damn right." Jack stalks past me. "Abercrombie wouldn't miss this for the world.""
"Super fast read! I like the flight attendant perspective and the lifestyle she battles between settling down or traveling. I enjoyed reading the dynamics between the characters. I found myself feeding into the main characters indecisive future life choices. Overall, a great read. Go pick it up!"
"This book was quite good but not remarkable. It's strongest effect was in making me want to be a flight attendant. Which I never mind when a book sells me on a job that the author clearly works in irl. Too bad even just riding in a car occasionally makes me nauseous haha."
