"1 absolutely loved this book; the characters and story were all incredibly emotionally written. I cared for our characters immensely.
We follow Noor and salahudin, and in some chapters, Salahuddin's mother, you get each of their povs you see how being Pakistani in this small predominantly white racist town, you see the flat-out racism micro aggression there are parts of thi book that also talks about the judicial system generational trauma and assault grief. So many things are stacked against Salahudin and Noor like they can never catch a break. There is a romance between them that is so wholesome, but it felt so vital to their wellbeing that it overall felt like something so much more than just a high school romance Aaa l just loved them so much Sabaa Tahir is truly such an amazing writer: I can't wait to re-read and annotate the many beautiful sentences and paragraphs. There are such important things discussed in this one that 1 highly recommend everyone picking it up"
