"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/4 Definitely way too many unbelievable moments but still unputdownable. Loads of on the edge of your seat suspense and a cool, complex badass heroine. I actually loved this one. Yet had to knock a star off for the number of times something outrageously implausible took me out of the story. "
"This started out kinda garbage (I'm sorry, but don't have a book set somewhere if you don't know the basic geography and you're gonna write about it...) but the pacing really is good and the plot was interesting. There's some very unbelievable parts, so be prepared for a LOT of suspension of disbelief. Content TW: child abuse, animal abuse, murder, gore, racist slurs"
"4.5✨️ Talk about a wild ride. Such an entertaining and thrilling story. It def makes you want to keep reading until you know how it all ends! "

"Omg, I loved this book so much. The whole thing was so well done. The atmosphere, with all the snow and the cold temperature, added to the story's intensity. I love thrillers like this, where it doesn't take almost the whole book to be thrilling because I kid you not from chapter 2, it gets crazy and suspenseful, and as the story goes on, the more you're holding your breath; I was not breathing there for most of those chapters if not the whole time The whole plot played out so well. The characters are also well thought out, I like our main character she was so strong and determined she had her moments where I was like girl I- like when she talks to this child in a van that is in a dog cage visibly not doing well her first thought was to ask if she's okay like oh my god she's obviously not okay a please lol to be fair I wouldn’t have done any better but it just sent me so I had to mention other then that she was a satisfyingly strong main character like truly I would have given up within the first 10 mins but she kept going I was tired for her lol you do find out pretty early who the antagonist or antagonists are so the rest of the book is all drama and action I couldn’t put it down great book to start if you want to get into reading and also a great book for the winter.
P.s SKIP THE MOVIE ADAPTATION why go though all the trouble of making a movie and leaving out all the great scenes?!?"
"4/5 this book was really good! I didn’t see a lot of the twists coming and I was obsessed with the setting. I will for sure think about this book every time I enter a rest area. I would suggest reading this as long as you can stomach some violence. "

"Screaming, crying, throwing up! This book was soooo intense!!! I finished it in 24 hours because I HAD to know what happened next!!
It took me a minute to realize that in some chapters it would completely change the POV of the characters without even realizing it. I wish that it was easier with a name at the top or something. I could see how this would be hard for people listening to it as an audio book. However, I did enjoy seeing the different perspectives!!
It was pretty gorey so if that’s not your thing then this book may not be for you!! I don’t mind gore, but there was one scene that really pushed me over the edge… literally gasping with my hand over my mouth bad.
Semi spoiler ahead: why I chose 4⭐️s and not 5⭐️

It felt like the book kept going and going and going in circles. They did the same thing over and over again to escape. Not only that, but nothing went her way!! It was almost like nothing would work out for her. I don’t know how realistic that is, but it was frustrating that there was literally no way out. Don’t get me wrong- a lot of the things were clever, but a lot of the decisions were also stupid. "
