Now with over 10 million copies sold, The Mistborn Series has the thrills of a heist story, the twistiness of political intrigue, and the epic scale of a landmark fantasy saga. For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison. Kelsier "snapped" and found in himself the powers of a Mistborn. A brilliant thief and natural leader, he turned his talents to the ultimate caper, with the Lord Ruler himself as the mark.Kelsier recruited the underworld's elite, the smartest and most trustworthy allomancers, each of whom shares one of his many powers, and all of whom relish a high-stakes challenge. Only then does he reveal his ultimate dream, not just the greatest heist in history, but the downfall of the divine despot. But even with the best criminal crew ever assembled, Kel's plan looks more like the ultimate long shot, until luck brings a ragged girl named Vin into his life. Like him, she's a half-Skaa orphan, but she's lived a much harsher life. Vin has learned to expect betrayal from everyone she meets, and gotten it. She will have to learn to trust, if Kel is to help her master powers of which she never dreamed. This saga dares to ask a simple question: What if the hero of prophecy fails?Other Tor books by Brandon SandersonThe CosmereThe Stormlight ArchiveThe Way of KingsWords of RadianceEdgedancer (Novella)Oathbringer The Mistborn trilogyMistborn: The Final EmpireThe Well of AscensionThe Hero of AgesMistborn: The Wax and Wayne seriesAlloy of LawShadows of SelfBands of MourningCollectionArcanum UnboundedOther Cosmere novelsElantrisWarbreakerThe Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians seriesAlcatraz vs. the Evil LibrariansThe Scrivener's BonesThe Knights of CrystalliaThe Shattered LensThe Dark TalentThe Rithmatist seriesThe RithmatistOther books by Brandon SandersonThe ReckonersSteelheartFirefightCalamityAt the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

"This book was pretty much as good as everyone claims it is. The characters were lively, the plot twisty, and the magic unique to all other fantasy Ive read. That being said it wasn’t perfect of course, and I didn’t like that the skaa were lumped together so generally and lacked a sense of individuality beyond just the main characters. I also felt that Vin’s character arc was a little too quick for the first book in a series, but it was still a good one. Overall a great read, good as a stand-alone or the first in the series! "
"This was an amazing book. I loved it sooo much. It reminded me of Red Rising. Everything was so much different than I thought it was going to be like. The characters were amazing especially Elend. I love him and Marsh. Wish we saw more of Marsh though. Im really excited to see what happens next considering everything that happened in this book too."
"This was a slow start for me, it took till about 40% to finally get snagged and invested. However once I did I enjoyed this and some of my own theories I had while I read were close, this one kept me guessing. The constant metals schooling was a little annoying but I can see why it's necessary. I hope I can get to the next book soon. I wonder how this will continue but I have some inklings. "
"A great story with a good magic system, good action, good character development, and a female main character who actually has a good character arc and learns to embrace her femininity."
