"If you want a fun, mysterious, fast-paced story then this book is for you. It is young adult and in some ways that is very obvious, but not enough to take away from the story. It kept my interest and I read it in less than 24 hours. My daughter also LOVES this series. Off to book 2. "
"I love it so far I definitely see what the hype was all about I'm halfway through it and it reminds me of the kdrama Cinderella and the four knights which is one of my favorite kdramas I'm excited to continue and will definitely come back to make a final review and can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Update I read it all and it is very good I highly recommend and can't wait to read the next book."
"The book was good but the last few chapters felt like they were trying to throw too many new things at you at once, and the puzzles started falling together too easily. I enjoyed reading but not enough to continue the series"

"Finished this a while ago but buddy read it with my cousin and waited for her to finish it to reveal my rating then forgot to put it on here once she did finish it. Anyways the book was amazing and very fast paced with short chapters(which was amazing)! The plot twists were... eventful! But it didn't give me the 5 star feeling. I may have just not been in the right headspace but I'm still going to give it a 4/5 star rating. I will definitely pick up the other books in the Trioligy when I get the chance!"

"Let’s start off simple: the synopsis is a lie. I won’t elaborate, to avoid spoilers.. but just take my advice.
1. Everyone in the book has 0 character depth. They’re all just stereotypes. All of the boys are stereotypical “bad boys” and it is CRINGYYYYYY
2. The inheritance “games”? There are none.
3. “They have everything, she has nothing, let the games begin.” This is so stupid because this doesn’t even follow the story at all. The girl is richer than everyone in the family. Like, the money is not at risk AT ALL. Not at all. She has it, all she has to do is just chill the whole time and then nothing will happened. It’s that simple.
4. Every plot twist was predictable as heck. And the answer to the mystery was underwhelming.
5. The only “survival” she has to face is (MINOR SPOILER) one or two poorly attempted assassination attempts. And nothing even happened. The bad guy was caught immediately and then that was over.
6. The book was overall poorly written. If you actually read it, you’ll understand. Because in all honesty, I know children who could’ve written it better.
7. The random weird, cringy romance made absolutely no sense, and ended up taking over the whole story. This book is supposed to be about a mystery. Not about a love starved teenage girl falling for two mentally ill, creepy brothers.
8. The second hand embarrassment was simply unbearable. And every character was stupid as heck.
9. It’s fully just wasted potential. I feel like anyone who really enjoyed this book hasn’t ever read an ACTUALLY extraordinary series, and probably doesn’t read mystery often."
"Okay first, let me just say that I’m so upset at how long I allowed this book to collect dust on my shelf. I actually read the first chapter a few months ago and forgot to pick it up again.. and I have no idea why. It’s so good and I was seriously giddy the entire time - helping miss Avery with all her clues. I had the twist correct since the beginning of the book, but even though I was right, I loved how it was executed. The ending left in a place where you just have to pick up the next book!
I give it 4.5 stars because the love interests —or perhaps the love triangle— was very underwhelming for me. Idk, maybe I missed something, but I felt like the lil crushes Avery had was so completely random, so it kind of gave me the heebiejeebies. I would’ve liked it more if there was additional context to signify the emotion. But ya, that’s just me lol 🤠 I only docked .5 because the romance wasn’t necessary for it to be THIS good! The story itself was incredible.
Overall, it’s definitely a good read! 🤝🏽"
