Katie HarrisonThis is my first 5 star read in 2025! I loved the way it was written, alternating between a documentary and Kat’s version of her story. The growth in the characters throughout the course of the story was very believable given all they go through. I eagerly read it to see how it would all turn out. Do not miss this one!
Katie HarrisonI liked this book, but didn’t love it. It is a fast and relatively easy read and I generally enjoy historical fiction. I found I wasn’t quite as interested in the story as I had hoped to be.
Katie HarrisonExcellent story with a great mixture of world building, romance, and captivating adventure. It is ALMOST a 5 star for me, but the ending!! I am not 100 percent sure I like where the story is going and I am now questioning how I feel about all of the characters. I am still recommending it, but I wish I knew when the next book was coming out.
Katie HarrisonI liked this book a lot. It's definitely not perfect and is overwritten in places in a way that got repetitive… BUT it is also the perfect mixture of grief, angst, humor, and love. It got me out of a long book funk and I recommend reading it.
Katie HarrisonI am definitely adding Code Name Helene to my favorite historical fiction book list. It is based on the life of Nancy Wake, who was a true heroine in WWII. The story is fascinating, and the writing even better! This is a must read!
Katie HarrisonIf you want a good sports romance with some emotional depth let this book be next on your TBR. I was excited and ready to dive right into another book by Peyton Corinne only to find out that this is her first one! Hit the pre-order for book 2, but now I have to wait :(.
Katie HarrisonThis is a fun, quick story with enough twists to add some mystery and the perfect amount of romance to make it an easy summer read. I found myself laughing out loud often, and truly didn’t want to put this one down. It is my current favorite of Christina Lauren to date.
Katie HarrisonI have read many books about the war and what families endured. I felt this book was more for young adults, or a beginner novel for those who have not read about this time period. The descriptions were not detail oriented enough to truly feel the emotions of the characters and connect with them. While not a bad story, it was a mediocre read for me personally.
