I'm a Gemini. Impulsive. Curious. Headstrong. A twin. Heir to a throne I know nothing about. And it turns out, I'm Fae. But of course there's a catch - all I have to do to claim my birth right is prove that I'm the most powerful supernatural in the whole of Solaria. And sure, technically that's true as I'm the daughter of the Savage King. But the bit they didn't put in the brochure was that every single Fae in this Kingdom would claim my throne if they could. The school they've sent me to is both dangerous as sh*t and one helluva party. Vampires bite weaker students in the corridors, the Werewolf pack has orgies in the Wailing Wood at every full moon and don't even get me started on the dark and twisted ways the Sirens use their powers on people's emotions, or how my sinfully tempting Cardinal Magic teacher hosts detentions that leave people needing therapy.Classes are totally interesting if you manage to live through them. And that Gemini star sign I mentioned? It now determines my elemental magic and affects my destiny, so learning astrology is essential if I'm going to beat down my classmates - which is actively encouraged by the way.My biggest problem is the drool worthy Dragon shifter who has his eyes on my throne. He and his three psycho friends are determined to make my time here hell. All I've got to do is survive. But fate might have other ideas.Dammit, why couldn't I have gotten a letter to Hogwarts?***This is a dark, bully romance - don't go expecting a sweet school for magic with friends around every corner. Fae fight for everything they own and Zodiac Academy is a cutthroat school for students aged 18+ where only the strongest prevail. There's no Dumbledore here to save anyone's ass and Lionel Acrux will give Voldemort a run for his money in the evil dictator category. So hold onto your stardust (broomsticks not required) and get ready for a bumpy ride***

"No idea why I bought a book that was marked YA but is, indeed, a juvenile fiction with some violence and (probably) spice. Like, this is a Wattpad story. Unless you are in high school, you most likely won't consider THIS a book. Carton-like characters with zero depth, stupid clichés (do you want some more blonde, full-face-of-makeup jealous girls and good-for-nothing teachers that allow bullying?), and incredibly hollow dialogs. "
"ok so i have a couple questions about this. i used to be super into astrology and I still like zodiacs now. i see that this main character is a Gemini and that determines her powers and stuff but do we meet all the other signs? i wanted to know if my sign (taurus) would appear and how much of a role the taurus had "
"Even though it feels a little generous, I'm giving it a 2. Look, I don’t HATE this book. The plot wasn't horrible, and I'm curious about what's next. However, I cannot get past some writing styles and the nonconsensual nature of everything. The girls just let the world happen to them, making it hard to get on their team. At least Tory will occasionally bite back at the heirs, but Darcy is like a rag doll getting thrown around. I know that’s the point. They aren’t strong enough yet, but couldn’t they get just one victory in this book other than the moments when they hid from the heirs? The ending was horrific and ended on such a low note I don’t even know if I can continue if book 2 is just more and more of them getting the absolute crappy end of the stick.
On another note, why are the heirs considered love interests or Orion? In my eyes, they are villains, and at any point through this book, the sexual interactions between one of them and the girls, I just wanted it to be over and hated it and how weak they are to their advances. They all need to be cast away, and if any of them end up with one of the Vegas through this series, which I suspect happens, I will be coming back to give this no stars.
Now, while I have said a lot of negatives, like I said, the plot was not horrible. The concept is that something bigger is happening than the heirs, which is a pull for me. I genuinely could live without the constant descriptions of their “god-like abs” every five seconds from Darcy and Tory. I don't need to be reminded every five seconds that they are attractive…. I get it. Let's focus more on the looming “darkness” mentioned in between all this, which comes to a vast end when it kills the only person helping them. I am intrigued only because I want to know if the storyline continues on what the darkness is and if the girls will get the vengeance that they promised throughout the book."
"I have so many thoughts. I’m a older millennial so reading a book about 18-22 year olds acting like 12 year olds irritated me the whole time. Even the Gemini twins. I know plenty their age who struggled growing up (homeless & addicted to drugs), got their crap together and ended up more mature these ALL THE CHARACTERS combined. If the author had written the characters to be 7th-9th graders, it would all make sense; tho i probably wouldn’t have read it. Anyway, the story follows the Gemini twins (tory and Darcy) who are changlings in Chicago, their power grew after they turned 18 and was a beacon for all fae kind. A professor named Orion, who has a drinking problem (and is only a couple years older than them) found them, told them who they were and they had an massive inheritance (they thought $$$$$) from their parents and all they had to do was graduate the Zodiac Academy/college (again, the characters are all 18-22 y/o), and they be loaded and could do whatever they wanted. Kinda like graduating college and you inherit grandmas inheritance, except “grandma” was their murdered father’s throne; which they adamantly dont want and repeat the entire book. The 4 “man children” are from the four ruling families after the King (dad of the Gemini twins) was murder. They see the twins as a threat to their families power. The “man children” bully and torment them the entire book, nearly unaliving them several times. You know that whole “boys are only mean to you if they like you” BS, well the twins flirted with them while being bullied. And I’m sitting here struggling to get thru this whole book hoping it will get better while also thinking this series was “highly” recommended! WHY?? Is every book like this one??? I gave it 2 stars because I managed to read the whole damn book. "
