"A great sequel to the original film as the emotions Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust have learned to work together though still have some kinks to work out as a team!! Worth watching as the an alarm wakes the emotions to a change they weren’t ready for, as well as new emotions of Envy, Anxiety, Ennui and Embarrassment are brought to headquarters makes you feel the Nostalgia of the first film while the expand the world of Riley and her Emotions as she finds herself!!"
"A solid sequel that was a lot of fun but doesn’t quite capture the magic of the first film. I wish the story covered all of Riley’s freshman year instead of just a one week hockey camp leading into her freshman year, considering how many anxiety-inducing moments happen during the first year of high school."
"I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I thought it was a really good follow up to the first one. They broke down how emotions evolve and how it is connected to your sense of self and your core memories. These things can be complex but they have made it easier to understand. I had a crew from ages 4 to 40 and we all had a great time. This is a must see."
"I quite liked it. Not as great as the first one, and sure I was expecting more emotions but hey, I’ll take it. IF they did a 3, which maybe is pushing it, have it be later in her life. Cover other problems and maybe throw a couple other emotions like impatient hangry or charisma perhaps 4.6/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "
"While it doesn’t quite reach the heights of the first film (which to be honest cannot really be topped), this is still a very satisfying sequel. In many ways, I think this is an extremely effective continuation of the emotional journey of Riley from the first film, and introduces more complex emotions as she becomes a teenager. I felt the story really came together at the climax, perfectly symbolizing the inner emotional turmoil that can come with the new emotions that arrive as we grow. Fantastic animation and voiceover performances (Maya Hawke in particular is the MVP as anxiety). Without question worth a watch."
