"4⭐️ If you like Hannah in HACKS you’ll like her standup. She’s not her character but, kind of is .. ? And maybe not as much comedian as wry with a wink observer; her acting skills impressively used to cinematic effect to tell the zeitgeist-iess of stories, her performance almost a cabaret but stripped down and weirdly (in a good way!) inspired by French new wave cinema. She’s an original, funny, fresh, just odd enough .. plus a fantastic voice imitator which you don’t get to see on Hacks (Mother Earth as Marissa Tomei in My Cousin Vinnie is so left field and absurdly hilarious)! On a side note, I had look up her mother and what do you know .. she’s original SNL legend Laraine Newman. It all makes so much sense! I loved the artistic sense imbued into this special and low key theatricality. I may not have laughed out loud a whole ton but I definitely laughed enough and was always entertained!"
