"This movie is messed up and this movie also reminds me of the girl next-door, which is another movie that’s really messed up"

"This is definitely the most horrific case of child abuse based on Sylvia Likens. It’s very hard to watch and knowing all the details this girl actually went though is crazy. This is so much closer to actual events then “The Girl Next Door” which just takes the story and makes up plots and people that were never there. I did my research on the actual case and this film follows it very close in comparison."

"The crimes that Gertrude committed against Sylvia while she was supposed to be under her care were horrific but not only that, she encouraged her own children and children in the neighborhood to commit heinous violent acts against her also. All the while, the neighbors could hear Sylvia’s screams but “didn’t want to get involved.” Everyone failed her."
