"A fresh take on the vampire story! Its a movie about outcasts at the end of the day and their f-ed up love story full of blood and heartbreak. The fact there’s a child vampire isn’t lost on me and how she might have become one is mostly very dark and horrible and how she really understands where this misunderstood boy who is bullied and Harassed is coming from. "Are you really my age?"
"Yes. But I've been this age for a very long time."
“Let The Right One In”is basically a vampire adolescent love story but very unconventional from what you may think. This isn’t your Twighlight vampire film everything in this story seems so much more realistic and plusible. It’s sweet and terrifying at the same time. I will admit Lina Leandersson is a tad bit scarier in the original then Chloë Grace Moretz who I love as a actress. Both play these roles exceptionally well. *After watching this I think I want to check out the tv show now. I forgot how good this story was. The tv show has the advantage of world building and characterization that can get even more in depth into the book."

"I guess I got my answer 'cause my original question was gonna be how many people have actually read the book so they know that Eli is a disguise. Almost everyone saw this as a straight ship in the comments and on other websites. I know that Eli is basically trans, or just really feminine. In the books they're a bit confusing saying she uses the look to get food but it's hard to know if she wants to be a girl or it's merely for survival (plus if she's trans it would be othering). Oskar being gay would likely have gotten this movie banned so I can see why it's not addressed. It's not a scary movie so much as a slow burn, but definitely not a romance either."
"it's a vampire romance story but theyre 12. acclaimed cinematography includes but is not limited to: constant crotch shots (OF CHILDREN), half-naked children almost constantly, very frequent intense close-ups of kids faces, some sparkly trees, and snow. Adults receive Normal takes of themselves and are never unclothed. considering the moving images that made this a movie, I call this one 🚩🚩Weird🚩🚩"
"I really loved this movie. I’m a reader so a lot of shows and movies bore the heck out of me. The American made version of this from a few years ago was an absolute bore. This one was very engaging, if occasionally disturbing. This version doesn’t just hand you the plot like most Hollywood-made movies. You actually have to figure it out as you go and it really makes you guess what’s next. A good movie for people who like to think and/or like reading. I also recommend the book! "
