If you loved "The Great Alone" and have a special love-hate relationship with the trope of: "rich and mentally unstable housewife that has nothing better to do than to accuse her husband of cheating/murdering people" then this is the book for you! I liked the way the author paints the picture of isolation and makes interesting, truly fleshed-out characters. There is a twist in the end that I adored! Pretty good spooky read. TW for infant kidnapping and PPD. Also, if the "surprise pregnancy" trope annoys you... Just skip it.

Love this book! I love how it jumps from character to character, and I love the depth of the characters. Evelyn is my favorite! And what a great ending... If you love spy books, you'll love this one.

I WAS PROMISED 🌶️ SMVT🌶️, NOT THE MOST VISCERAL AND HONEST HEALING JOURNEY I COULD FATHOM. But seriously, Nesta is one of the most interesting and complex characters in modern literature. This book simultaneously has fight scenes that will make you feel so healed and so empowered, especially if you have ever recovered from any type of abuse or trauma, and has love scenes that made every ounce of feminism leave my body.

This book has everything. Healing familial relationships, found family, spice, political intrigue... And the line "be happy, Feyre" sent me into a weeping fit from which I barely recovered. I can't remember the last time I cried over a book like this!

Chapter 55 made me weep. It's such a beautiful story and it's encompasses PTSD perfectly. There are moments that are definitely heartbreaking for the main character and there are amazing pieces of clarity. The world building alone is worth the read.

What a beautiful retelling of beauty and the beast! It's a sort of coming of age situation with a little bit of spice and high Fae.

I remember watching this when I was a kid. It was one of my favorite Stephen King stories! I just love ghost stories and especially ones about beautiful old houses. No jump scares, which is good, but definitely appropriate for Halloween.
