"Adorable, in-your-face teen romance. Cheesy but in an acceptable and endearing way. Another version of "First Daughter", which has a very similar plot and came out around the same time. The main difference in these films are the setting, the male leads, and how serious the movie takes itself. This one is a little bit more carefree, silly, and unrealistic than the First Daughter. I love the travel aesthetic and Matthew Goode's flirtatious badboy protector thing is pretty cute. But First Daughter is just a little deeper, so it's a more involved watch but that can sometimes pay off. All up to dealers choice, but I think both movies are great 2000's cutesy romance movies. "
