In 2018, a young bartender in the Bronx, a coal miner’s daughter in West Virginia, a grieving mother in Nevada and a registered nurse in Missouri join a movement of insurgent candidates challenging powerful incumbents in Congress. Without political experience or corporate money, these four women are attempting to do what many consider impossible.

"So this documentary shows us that there is hope for electoral politics. Socialism is taking hold within the democratic party. The movie follows AOC and 3 other progressives running for congress in the 2018 midterms. (I don't think this counts since it's literally real life but SPOILERS for the 2018 midterms lmao) AOC won her race but the other 3 candidates lost. In 2020, Cori Bush of Missouri won the same race she had lost 2 years prior in the doc. She is without a doubt, one of the most radical members or congress. Elections are only one tool in our toolbox. But leftists just don't run candidates in most elections. Democratic party nominees are mostly just liberals, sometimes in leftist clothes. This doc shows how grassroots organization can change that. Highly recommend"
"So incredibly inspiring. I could watch again and again and I'd still cry tears of hope and joy."
