"Chloe Zhao has a gift of putting you in touch with the stories and lives of the people in her movies. No matter how different we are, or how we choose to live our lives, we are all connected by our humanity. Her movies also help me to recognize and appreciate the gift and beauty of mother nature."
"I loved this because this is easily the most honest portrayal of the working poor in America I've seen to date. Real situations, real hope, real relationships. I'm so sick of the poor people of America being portrayed with a weird impossible martyrdom and infantilism, vis a vis "hillbilly elegy" or other such insensitive nonsense. This film takes A MUCH better look at the life and experience of it, while experiencing the freedoms as well. Highly recommend!"
