A Quiet Place: Day One

"Suspenseful. Big fan of Lupita Nyongo. She doesn't need to speak to give us a good performance. That cat was great. "

"Loved the first two movies and this was a decent addition to the franchise, even with the many plot holes. I was hoping for more of a back story about the aliens, and we don't get to see any real military response to the invasion that you would expect from day one, so it quickly evolves into the same formula from the first two movies... Stay quiet to survive. So we follow Samira and the most unrealistically well behaved cat in the history of cats, and her new found friend, Eric as they try to stay alive in NYC. I assume most people know that cats hate water and can't hold their breath under water, but apparently the writers don't know that or don't care. Plot holes aside, it was still a good flick with a nice pace to it. 7.5/10"

"It was a great suspense movie seeing how others survived the event compared to the other movies. The cat was great and had me on the edge of my seat multiple times, lol. I'm glad that it was well wrapped up at the end too and didn't leave any loose ends, since this was supposed to be the prequel to the other 2 movies."
