"This movie starts as a buddy comedy but along the way, morphs into a drama with an interesting racial component. Not a great comedy, but good enough for a couple of chuckles. The message conveyed by the end of the movie is an important one. Definitely worth a watch. 7/10"

"One of the best coming of age movies I’ve ever seen. It will anger you, make you cry and stomp on your heart. But it’s so beautiful. "

"SO. GOOD. This is an amazing, important, and excellent story, backed with a top notch cast. While yes this is a comedy, I should mention it's also a terrifying social commentary on the experience of a person of color when dealing with the cops. Trying to help someone, these college kids at a predominantly white school are faced with a really messed up decision. Definitely a predicament that they would not have to deal with if they were white. I don't wanna give a way the farm, but I would be remiss if I did not urge literally everyone to watch this. "

"Wonderful, timely film with a thoughtful focus on the power of friendship, being Black in America, and trying to find ways to do the right thing. I was just a little confused with the door slam near the end, but other than that I really appreciated this film. "

"Started out a boozy frat boy movie and slowly, deliberately turned into something meaningful"

"A thought-provoking film that delves into complex social issues while maintaining an engaging storyline. The portrayal of the challenges faced by men, especially men of color, in navigating delicate situations highlights the layers of societal expectations and biases they must contend with. The film's exploration of intentions versus assumptions adds depth to its characters and prompts viewers to consider the nuances of empathy and understanding. It seems like a compelling conversation starter that addresses important themes with subtlety and nuance."
