"This movie feels very different but also very expected from Tim Burton, it has a nice cold Atmosphere that you can feel but also is very charming and fun. I love this take on the Sleepy Hollow story that Ichabod Crane is a “modern” medical/police man come to a small town full of Superstition and hauntings..such a good set up and pay off Also it gets that spooky season stamp of Approval. 👍🏻"

"Pretty much a Sherlock Holmes version of Sleepy Hollow. The ensemble is still great, as is the haunting atmosphere. This would be the perfect adaptation if it stuck to the source material. I love the movie nevertheless."

"Horrortober 2022 #5 So there isn’t much for me to speak on because I did see this film when I was a kid. I didn’t remember everything but most of the plot came back to me. So I don’t know if that’s why I found it to be a tad bit boring at times. This is a great looking horror film for its time. I like majority of the acting , costumes and set design. For it to be released in 1999 the eccentric special effects hold up pretty well. I’m a Jonny Depp fan but this is one of my least favorites from him. Burton did a good job of adapting this classic short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” into a cool halloween movie."
