"I know I reviewed this before but it's no longer listed that I can see. This is my second favorite film of all time and I still can quote it quite adeptly. I've probably seen it a few hundred times since I saw it in the theater in 1987. I have owned it on VHS, DVD, etc. I have different versions of the books it came from and I follow Cary Elwes. I read his book "As You Wish" multiple times. I love the whole culture around it. I can't recommend this enough to anyone, especially if you enjoy fantasy, princesses, pirates, romance with true love, giants, villians, heros and just the most excellent dry humor and quipy banter. You will quote it for the rest of your life. Just watch it! "

"Based off the book of the same name though with one scene not made for film, it’s a film worth watching as you have love, action/ adventure, horror in the light eighties since. As a woman falls in love with her stable hand only to lose him to the Dredd Pirate Roberts at sea, her lose of love gains the prince’s eye as he becomes betrothed to Buttercup!"
