"I became interested in this podcast around the 2020 lockdown, and a true crime podcast about the horror of people seemed like good pandemic fodder. I initially listened because I liked the host’s voice. I noticed he was defensive about past criticisms, but I disregarded. I stopped listening when he approved an extremely offensive story that boiled down to the OP stealing and making fun of poor people. I rarely complain, but this story was bad enough that I wrote the host with my concern. And it turned out I was not alone, and that a bunch of people had criticism. However, the host doubled down and deflected blame. All I’d wanted was an acknowledgment of some sort, so I was disappointed. I haven’t listened since. "

"Quite a few close calls as well as a few scattered unfortunate decisions led to a collection of true horror stories from the lucky ones that managed to dodge becoming a true crime story. A great listen for the suspense, but with the relief of the writers survival."
