Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special” training, though, he's become so strong that he's practically invincible. In fact, he's too strong — even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch, and it turns out that being devastatingly powerful is actually kind of a bore. With his passion for being a hero lost along with his hair, yet still faced with new enemies every day, how much longer can he keep it going?

"I love an anime that doesn’t have a stick up it’s ass and I can say for certain that’s one of those anime, it’s funny and it makes fun of all the tropes of anime that have always ground my gears as someone who has tried to get into anime several times…but this is really good and what I’ve been looking for."
"I get it; the title is a giveaway. Let me guess he beats them with one punch? That's what I said when I saw this, and it's true. However, there's so much more to this show, and people just love it. I love it. It's hard to explain why. It's just good.
What happens when you are literally the strongest being in the entire universe? Things get boring. But strength can't solve all your problems.
The show is fun and shocks you at every turn. Certain characters may be the real reason you keep watching, yet Saitama truly gets under your skin in ways you won't be able to comprehend. I only say that because I really just watched for Blonde Cyborg my first time through, but now I love Saitama with every fiber of my being. It's not to say side characters are bad. In fact a lot of them you will become invested in and hope to see more of them at every corner. And often times that does in fact happen. There was so much care placed into so many characters and you're gonna fall for more than a few.
It's a staple in the anime community, and that's definitely for a reason. It had no 2nd season for the longest time, but the fanbase just remained too devoted. People were still talking about and raving of this animes story, accomplishments, and comedy. And the creators finally bucked up and made a 2nd season.
I adore the 2nd season even more than the first. I can't wait for a third and I promise I will watch it the moment it comes. It's also the only anime I can switch between dub and sub with no problem. Both voice actors in each version do their part well. I watch the sub because I can't wait any longer for the dub. Then I watch the dub from then on. Either way I'm pretty sure something in this show will hook you in an unexpected way.

"This show is ridiculously awesome! One punch takes the stress out of the fights, but every fight still somehow brings me to the edge of my seat! "

"The perfect balance of funny and serious. It began a tad mundane for me but, in hindsight, I think that is on purpose. You are supposed to feel as bored as the protagonist is. It also gave me time to gain more direction and ambition along with him. Absolutely hooked and waiting impatiently for season 3 "
"I love how his work out regimen is only 100 pushups, 100 situps, 100 squats and a 10K run while not having heat or air conditioning. I can do the exercises and lack of AC pretty well, but I'd rather not go bald. I really love how Saitama is easily bored and doesn't have over confidence on his abilities. Him trying to kill a mosquito is probably my favorite scene so far though."
