"I listened to this book on Audible and the narrator was amazing. However, I gave this book a thumbs down. This is just the same dystopian elements regurgitated in yet another book. There was new ideas introduced such as the killer trees, but there wasn’t enough there to make me want to read the next book in the series. "

"What a cool premise. This has been on my list for awhile, and looking for fantasy that was a little different, why not an environment that has evolved to kill you.<br/><br/>This book wasn't what I expected, and that's what I loved about it the most. A coming of age tale that's relatable, in a world that at first seems mysterious, then becomes all too familiar. It was reminiscent of Mark Lawrence's world in Prince of Thorns or The Second sleep by Robert Harris, with some of Jeff VanderMeer's Annihilation thrown in. <br/><br/>Looking forward to the next one!"

"I can’t say enough about this book series. I listened to the audiobook and I highly recommend it! Dystopian future where nature has taken over, the trees will eat u and all technology has been lost. The few remaining pieces of tech is revered like gods. Humans live in isolated villages and language has devolved. The narrators of the audio version were amazing! There is a piece of tech discovered that is nothing more than an Itouch with a Japanese emoji speaker. The narration gave them such life!"
