"This was a pretty good final book! It was a little slow at times, so it took me longer than usual to finish it, but the plot was really good! Love Kell and Rhy both so much! This whole series was a little bit slow paced, but other than that, I really enjoyed it! Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of fantasy!

"I'm at a complete loss for words. This was a beautiful conclusion to the trilogy and as crazy as I feel saying this, it might be the best book of the bunch. The relationships formed were so incredibly authentic that I find myself comparing my own relationships to them! I'm a little embarrassed but I started tearing up the closer I got to the end for no other reason than I was heartbroken that series was coming to an end. A must have in any fantasy lovers collection!"

"Such a great ending to the series! One thing I really liked about this book and the whole trilogy really is the way that love is shown in a lot of different ways. There's romantic love, the love between brothers, platonic love, the love of a parent. So much representation of love and devotion. "

"Well a lot happened in these pages. Really though I thought the whole series should have been like this, or atleast some of the background information given here should have been evenly distributed throughout the other works. That's why it was so difficult for me to get attached. The author saved all the characters past/flash backs for last.

This was, on the edge of your seat danger, from the beginning. Could not predict a thing. Truthfully I wished everyone could have got a small break and enjoyed each other's company for a bit. Especially since they all had a road trip. Which wasn't as much fun as I initially hoped. It was great to see them come together.

Kell and Rhy's orbit is very beautiful and heart swelling. Kell only shows his true face to the ones he loves and Rhy relishes in it. He truly would make a great King someday. It's not often you get to see such sibling devotion. But Kell and Alucard's bickering had to be one of the best segments of the story. I about fell out everytime. Haha the world was getting ripped to shreds and they were to busy yapping like puppies. Just the best.

Honestly to many people got cut short for me. But that's real life, you don't always get that special moment to say goodbye. Nice people die suddenly, for no reason. It was just so sudden..... All jokes aside it is great not to see everyone magically return from the dead. That gets old quick. Like I say repeatedly (ugh I know) it does make the story more alive, it just sucks haha *sob*.

Holland gets his own paragraph maybe more because Schwab did him dirty. First of all I loved Holland with the fierce-heart of a mother lion and will kill the next person who draws his blood. He deserved so much more than what he was given. Holland didn't even have a character arc. He never overcame or developed in anyway. Holland gave enough to warrant a garsh darn friend, lover or even a small freakin portion of compassion.

Holland was literally an animal, beaten within an inch of his life, by strangers, by one's he loved. I could not fault him for biting. Even after he had proven himself, not to be free of fault, but just an actual human being who made a bad choice inwhich, hello, everyone else would have probably done the same.......still, people cut him deep to release their guilt.

No I refuse. I have hence forth imagined my own story of Holland and that will be actuality and screw what I just read. Now that I got that out, any flashback character youth meetings will always be one of my favorites. Maybe because children are so brash and truthful. Kell met Holland as a kid it seems he only wanted to know someone like himself, poor Kell, Holland never could trust anyone.

It's crazy cool how background characters become so irreplaceable. Almost like they are sitting in wait to ****** a piece of your heart before you know it. Thought I thought some of the pov's thought the books were useless. When you get invested with the characters, it's not easy to share their spotlight. I believe the story could have went without or atleast replaced with more of the ones I love. Heck yeah I'm selfish.

Ok so coolest scene ever. I won't say who but bro he caught his crown out of thin air then crushed it into a knife....that was so SICK! Also, this is obviously my rambling paragraph, there were many good lessons to learn. The understanding that Kell was not stronger because he never had to fight for his life. At the end it seemed everything wrap up well except for of course you know who. It was a fun journey, I loved it more than I thought I would. Still I feel heartbroken that they couldn't just all get together and handout like friends if only for a short while. Until another day.

Anoshe.

-------Favorite moments-------

And then the door burst open.
Alucard stood in the doorway, soaking wet, as if he'd just been dumped in the sea, or the sea had dumped over him. "Stop ******* with the ship."
Kell and Lila stared at him in stunned silence, and then burst into laughter as the door slammed shut.

Literally one conversation to express why I love reading about Lila Bard:

"You think this is a bad idea?" he said. It wasn't a question. But it sparked something in Lila, rekindled the fire in her eyes and ignited grin.
"Without a doubt."
"Then why are you smiling?"
"Because," she said, "bad ideas are my favorite kind."

They had always been like that, so different in temper, Rhy's hot and quick to burn, Kell's cold and slow thaw.

"What have you done?" demanded Kell.
"It was just a tonic, sir," he fumbled, "something for sleep."
"You drugged her?"
"It was Tieren's order," said Hestra, chastised. "He said she was mad and stubborn and no use to us dead." Hastra lowered his voice when he said this, mimicking Tieren's tone with startling accuracy.
"And what do you plan to do when she wakes back up?"
Hastra shrank back. "Apologize?"
Kell made an exasperated sound as Lila nuzzled---actually nuzzle---his shoulder.
"I suggest," he snapped at the young man, "you think of something better. Like and escape route."

------Character Notes------

Red:
*Kell- Redish brown hair swept across an eye, left crisp blue eye, right solid black eye, pail skin, tall slim, 21,
*King Maxim- towering, broad shoulders, bright eyes, black beard and hair, rich tan, gold eyes,
*Emira Queen of Arnes- Royal emblem chalice and rising sun, long dark hair, heavy braid with ribbon, rich tan, gold eyes
*Prince Rhy Maresh- amber eyes, black hair, rich tan, built like a statue, strong, sharp mind, 20
*Gen- prince private gaurd
*Parrish- prince private gaurd, red and gold cloak over armor,
*Alucard- Captain of the Night Spire, tall, tawny hair, brown hair swept back, sapphire in his brow, eyes storm of blue and Grey, young, smooth, tan,
*Anisa- 12, Alucard's sister, wavy brown curls, dark eyes,
*Berras- Alucard's brother, hard face, Alucard's coloring,
*Stross- first mate of the Night Spire, brutish, bearded, from Besar Nal,
*Olo- cook of the Night Spire,
*Vasry- handsome, not the sharpest,
*Tavestronask- Tav,
*Kobis- Berras's spy,
*Lenos- lanky, young, shadows under eyes,
*Kisimyr Vasrin- last Victor of the element games, black hair twisted with gold behind her head, 28, colorful eyes, cat like smile, from Arnes,
*Losen- Kisimyr's protégé, young, dark skin, wiry, gold earrings running the length of the ears,
*Vis- Rhy gaurd, always nervous,
*Tolners- Rhy gaurd, humorless, jaw of an officer,
*Staff- Kell gaurd, doest talk much, he sister died during black night, graying temples, bearded,
*Hastra- Kell gaurd, young, eager, dark curls, balance magic,
*Parlo- friends to the crown, help organize the tournament, trimmed beard,
*Lisane- friends to the crown, help organize the tournament,
*Queen Lastra of Vesk- seven children,
*Princess Cora of Vesk- 16, honey blonde braid circling head, tall, slight, pale blue eyes,
*Prince Col of Vesk- 18, tall, built like an ox, handsome,
*Lord Sol-in-Ar of Faroan- brother to the king of Faroan, antagonist, one piece fabric clothing, clean shaven, stones inlaid on face from temple to throat, teardrop white gold on forehead, short black hair, tall, chiseled jaw, rigid gate, skin charcoal, eyes pale green,
*Jasta- Captain, tall, features pointed, twisted auburn hair, from the east Sonal,
*Jinnar- wisp thin, rich tan, black hair shot up, silver eyes shinning like a cat, black lashes and brows, jackle grin, air element,
*Stasion Elsor- simple black coat with an S at the throat, fair, short dark hair, sharp bones, from Besa Nal,
*Hano- young, black hair messy bun,
*Maris- queen of the floating Market, captain of the Feras Stras, silver hair, dark skin, old, has dark artifacts,

Grey:
*Lila Bard- tall thin, boyish frame, 19,
*George III- King of England, withered frame, blind eyes, rotting teeth,
*George Prince regent- doesn't like Kell meeting the king,
*Barron- owned The Stone's Throw which is in every London with a different name, big, tall, steady, beard,
*Edward Archibald Tuttle- or Ned, magic enthusiast, gangly awkward, tattoo on wrist a rune to bind magic,
*Powell- a liar and a drunk, owns the ship Sea King,

White:
*King Athos- Dane Twin, rule Makt, blood magic to control,
*Queen Astrid- Dane twin, veins stand out dark against the skin, colorless hair braided, pale blue eyes,
*Holland- Antari, quite and cold voice, haunted eyes one black one milky green, charcoal hair, colorless skin, white half cloak, tall, strong, muscled, high cheek bones, strong jaw,
*Ojka- Antari, graceful, shoulder length red hair, porcelain skin, black veins, eyes one yellow one black, scar from cheek to throat,
*Nasi- 9, short, works in the castle, hair braided, scars on face,"

"I’ve never wanted to chuck a book across the room more than this one (in a completely positive way of course)

Reread: I don’t remember feeling as emotional the first time I read A Conjuring of Light, but boy am I feeling sappy now. So much happens in this book and so much of it is a mixture of hope, sadness, and love. This is why I am so enamored by V. E. Schwab."

"Probably the best book of the series. I found the first book hard to get through, the second much better and the third hard to put down. The characters have life, and the story is compelling. I highly recommend this series."
