"From the title, I thought this book would be all about Rand, but that's not the case. But it was a fairly decent read focusing on the other major players in the story. As usual, lots of twists and turns along the way and new places and characters are unveiled at just the right moment, to keep the reader engaged in the plot. "

"By the end of the book, my opinion of the story was better than it was in the middle. It took a long confusing trek to get to where they got. I'm having the hardest time with the characters. There isn't one I actually like. They either complain all the time, are rude to each other, are frustratingly clueless, refuse to believe things as if they haven't been on an unbelievable adventure for three books, and there is too much repetition in describing them. I think that Perrin is my favorite character if I had to pick one. He is unique enough (although usually angry or rude too) and if one of them were ever going to be described as kind, he is the closest to it. This particular book reminded me a lot of Zelazny's Amber books. I'm giving the series one more try before I just give up. I don't like spending an entire book disliking all or most of the characters."
