"This was my first book I’ve read by Jessica Goodman AND possibly one of the very few young adult books I felt drawn into reading. (I was reading Stephen King at 10 and skipped the YA phase in my reading journey).

I always longed to go away to summer camp and I felt this book represented camp life like I would’ve loved it to be.

Since they were 8, Goldie, Ava and Imogen met at summer camp each year and were BFFS. This year they will meet again only as first time Camp Counselors.

Goldie, lives in Alpine Lake and is only able to attend camp because her mom works at the camp. Her friends live swanky lives in NY and things have been changing for them as they have become older. They are keeping secrets from each other and now a body has been found in the lake. One of their secrets might be the result of the dangers that lurk at camp.

Awesome summer camp read and even though it’s a YA book, I loved how a blue collar crime was involved in the mystery.

I consumed it in a day and found it to be a fun and fast read. Even with the whiny teenagers."
