"<strong>More novella than a standalone </strong><br/><br/>Carrie and Dash’s story is heavily weighted on events from Riot House while technically a standalone I think you get more out of this novel if you read Riot House first. I found that this story contradicts some from the first almost as if Carrie and Dash’s story was an afterthought. To be honest I enjoyed the read especially from the unique view of looking at the first books events from the sidelines however Dash was the highlight of this story. Carrie annoyed me a lot of the time. I also was waiting to learn more about Alderman but that never happened. I felt this story could’ve been slightly stronger but overall a good read."
