"*WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS* Would someone please tell me that this series gets better!!! I'm hoping I didn't waste my money buying the other books😟. I feel like I've been fooled into thinking this was going to be something better. This is why I don't have expectations for books and why I don't read the synopsis because they trick you!! I was utterly confused when I started reading this, I was like, "Wait, the main character is basically at school for crazy and unstable kids?" In my mind this story was completely different than the actual one and I'm disappointed sadly. The cover is what got initially and when I was reading it, I was thinking to myself, "This cover literally has nothing to do with the story at all". The main character doesn't even look like the person on the cover, like why have it look a certain way and then completely change it?? The story itself sucked to be honest, it didn't get interesting until more than half ways and even then it wasn't as action packed until literally 2-3 chapters before the epilouge. The side characters were weird and didn't feel "genuine". One moment the first girl to befriend her is hardly even hanging around Luce throughout the whole book, then all of sudden she gets into a semi fight or something, really? Was that necessary for the story, I don't think so.The miscommunication really bothered me, like seriously why can't you just say it and be done with it instead of wasting 452 pages to say "There's a lot more you need to know, but I can't tell you." The love triangle is off to me, she should not have fallen(no pun intended😏) that fast for 2 guys! Well...1 specifically, but still!! I don't know, I'm hoping the second one is better!"
