"This is the final book in the series with the threat of Darkstalker. Why are we doing a side quest of trying to find one of the students that has nothing to do with darkstalker. The conflict half of the book felt like a distraction from the plot. I think this part wouldn’t be as bad if it was litterly any other book in the arc. This last for half the book

I hate the talons of power. They feel like a distraction from the main plot. I really don’t care about Onyx. She is not a fun villain.

Winter and Qibli are still great

Kinkajou and Turtle are cute and i like that they decided to take it slow instead of dating right away.

Qibli and moonwatcher relationship wasn’t that well done. During the series i don’t get the sense that moonwatcher was that into Qibli until the last book. She was suddenly more into Qibli during the last book. The rest of the series she seems more into Winter. I’m into Winter and Moonwatcher together but i still would have liked more development of Qibli and moonwatcher’s relationship.

Some scenes the book treats Winter like he was being cruel. With what is going on Winter has the right to be upset.

A lot of the ships in this arc i wasn’t that big fan of because when we were in that character’s pov they were constantly thinking about that dragon. Though it is in a way that the author keeps on trying to tell me that the dragon has a crush on someone over and over again without being settle about it."
