"It picks up right where Chain of Gold leaves us. I enjoyed this book more than the first because 1. Serial killer on the loose and 2. The intrapersonal relationships are fire. The interactions between siblings made me laugh out loud, the best friends all rizing each other, the secret pining for one another; chef's kiss. But man alive did you just want to shake some sense into every one of the kids, only to remember, oh yeah they are teenagers. Ends on a cliff hanger, so be prepared. 7/10."
"There was not a moment in this 656 page book that I felt bored or uninterested in a particular person’s POV. Every character in this book has managed to capture my attention, has made me wonder how they will grow, has made me invested in their future in some way. This is not to say that I absolutely adore every character (though I would say I love the majority of them), but every persons personal story and subplot means something to me. Especially Alistair’s!"
"One must always be careful of books is the bonus story"
