"It picks up right where Chain of Gold leaves us. I enjoyed this book more than the first because 1. Serial killer on the loose and 2. The intrapersonal relationships are fire. The interactions between siblings made me laugh out loud, the best friends all rizing each other, the secret pining for one another; chef's kiss. But man alive did you just want to shake some sense into every one of the kids, only to remember, oh yeah they are teenagers. Ends on a cliff hanger, so be prepared. 7/10."
"There was not a moment in this 656 page book that I felt bored or uninterested in a particular person’s POV. Every character in this book has managed to capture my attention, has made me wonder how they will grow, has made me invested in their future in some way. This is not to say that I absolutely adore every character (though I would say I love the majority of them), but every persons personal story and subplot means something to me. Especially Alistair’s!"
"I love this series. The characters are all amazing. I am always left wanting more! "
"Her writing style, character development, action and filler balance, relationship tension and resolve are phenomenally written in all her series and this one is no exception so far. Absolutely love the storyline that’s playing out. I usually have to give myself a pep talk with the middle books in a series because of the cliffhanging tension and unanswered questions, but she ties them up beautifully and I could read it over and over again.
