"It was okay, I didn’t love it but I didn’t not like it either"

"I have to say, I really liked the storyline of this one. I read a few reviews before finally buying this one and all the talk of how hot Death was I was excited for a romance. It wasn't really a romance, but more of a paranormal murder mystery. And I'm not disappointed in the least over that. I loved the mystery, I loved the detective work and I loved watching Alex deal with the lead detective on the case.<br/><br/>I liked Alex. I did. While there are romantic elements (very few, but they exsist), I really liked watching her deal with the world around her. She's strong. She has her vulnerable moments that come with her abilities but she doesn't let it hold her back. She strives to do what is right and to find the truth. She's not a whiner, which is a huge bonus for me.<br/><br/>Pretty promising start to a series. I do plan on getting the next book and seeing where the story takes me."
