"The Shannara series is honestly the only series I have read by Terry Brooks. But I do really like them."

"You know, honestly the series has a huge resemblance to the LOTR trilogy. You can definitely tell that's where a lot of Terry Brooks' inspiration came from. But it was still very well written and a pleasureable read. It's also the series my mother read when she finished with her Tolkien reading. It definitely had a good ending; however it is a series, so there's quite a lot more to delve into 😊 I hope I could help! "

"This was a typical good vs evil story with the protagonists fighting impossible odds to vanquish an evil. The twists and turns were well placed and kept the story interesting. I liked how it ended. I didn't expect a certain aspect of it, but the rest of it is quite predictable. So why the four stars? To be fair. I did find this predictable but that's because I have read many like it, but all these other books came after this. This book was written I believe in the 80's, hence considering when it was written it is a good and entertaining read! Give it a try and judge for yourself. <br/><br/><br/>"
