"Oof. This is not a rom-com. I knew this going in but, y’all, this is NOT a rom-com. Lovely as it was, and I loved it truly, I wasn’t in the best place to read this when I started it. Now that it’s done — beautiful book. I recommend to all who enjoy the heavy stuff in your romances. I only have emotional capacity for 1-2 of these a year in me. Glad I spent it on this one, though. It was relatable and gut wrenching. Just so, so, relatable. "
