"I really enjoyed this book. I love a guy that plays no games and is sure of what he wants. I pray to find my own Rome one day 🥰. Cute story and well rounded story. It always make me sad when characters have to cut off family members, but you gotta protect your peace 🥲. Really enjoyed this book and it's a pretty quick and easy read"
"“I love you more than I ever thought possible. I know our relationship has been a bit of a whirlwind, but you once said that when your soul finds its tether that too fast doesn’t exist. I’ve known you were my soul’s tether since the day we met.”

This was such a nice read, Janelle and Rome were so cute. I liked the destination wedding plot, the romance and friend group vibes. This book is a very quick read but there's still lots of character development, realness and spicy times. Janelle and Rome the main characters have an instant attraction and agree to secretly hook up for a week at Janelle’s sisters destination wedding. There’s family drama, a fun friend group, wedding shenanigans lots of **** and I had a really good time reading. I love strong, intelligent black characters that know their worth and Janelle and Rome emulated that. This was very insta lust/love which I’m not really into but Janelle and Rome were so good that I overlooked that a little lol.

Tropes/themes :
- Black romance
- Strong characters
- Destination wedding plot
- Spicy"
