"10/10. This book was hands down one of the best ghost stories I’ve ever read. The constant misinformation, the lies, the tension. All of it was brilliantly executed. The emotions felt so real, and it’s like you were in the direct mindset of the character narrating. Even when their thoughts took a dark turn, you could still understand why they felt that way. The human brain is a scary place, but the lies we keep can be scarier. Teenagers lie all the time, but at what point to they become deadly?"
"Normally this isn't my genre of reading but I picked up this book from a barnes and noble "blind date with a book" challenge where they wrap the book in paper and give a small description. I read this book in a day and was captivated by the story. Definitely a great read! The description given for the book is fairly accurate and the foreshadowing of the book is fairly good and comes back later so be sure to pay attention. This isn't a book where you'll need a highlighter and pen to figure out what's going on but it isn't one to skim, if you miss a detail, you might miss a point. Overall I like the twists and turns and I could FEEL the frustration of the main character throughout the book. It's kinda a hodgepodge between haunting of hill house, black mirror, and early pretty little liars episodes so if that's the type of book you're looking for I think its a great choice!! The book also has some LGBT+ representation in the main characters group which imo is done really well and I fell in love with the characters. #horror #thrillers_and_suspense #hauntingofhillhouse #blackmirror #lgbt #lgbtqia #pride"

"I’m really into mystery books where as you are reading, you are trying to figure out the mystery along with the main character and this is exactly that. I didn’t put this book down once and it was super captivating because of the point of view you are in. From the main characters view point, it was a total plot twist as I was figuring out the clues, and as the other commenter said, it’s super easy to miss just one detail. I definitely recommend this book."

"Thank You NetGalley and TBR and Beyond Tours for this arc in exchange for an honest review. <br/><br/>"Summer's Edge" by Dana Mele follows five estrange friends who return to the summer lake house where their friend was murdered on that anniversary where this goes wrong. <br/><br/>I would give "Summer's Edge" by Dana Mele because, 1; I loved the LGBTQIA+ rep 2; I loved all of tension but 3; for me this got really confusing for me and I could see what was going to happen miles away which just ruins the book for me."
