"Oh my golly gee!1!1! Some bits are hard to understand due to the different English but a summary of each chapter or a friend who knows what’s going on helps! First chapters I didn’t seem the plot but the last bit it really picks up! I havent stopped thinking about this book since I finished reading it and I honestly love it so much!!! Although fitzgerald stole a lot of the phrases and stuff from his wife, Zelda (bless her heart) … Spoilers ahead!! Gatsby is such a pathetic guy I love him and Nick and gatsby are so in love trust! I’ve heard the point of it is that none of the charachters are likable and you can’t relate to them at all but I actualy love Gatsby and Nick do much.. everyone has flaws and this book makes them seem so real in a way that it’s very relatable no matter what anyone says"

"I never really understood why people found this to be a classic of literature based on my reading experience. This is one of six books I've ever truly despised in my whole life. There were no likable characters and while I love reading about these time period, this never gelled with me. I may think differently after a second reading as it's been years since I first read it and I was an early teen when I read it. That's something to consider. "
