Word to the Wise, never become roommates with a girl you've been pining over for the better part of a year. You're probably wondering why I would do such a thing? Well, I didn't. It was my teammates. They moment they found out Blakely White was single, they took it upon themselves to play cupid and instruct me on how I should win her over. Don't wear a shirt around her. Make her dinner. Lightly touch her shoulder when you say goodbye.I'm so flustered, so overwhelmed, so madly in love with this woman who barely notices me, that I lose control of the situation and make one huge mistake: I offer to be her fake date for a wedding so she can make her ex jealous. That means, for one whole night I get a free pass with her. I get to hold her, dance with her, kiss her...stare at her from across the room like she's my entire world because she has been for months now. But when the night comes to an end, I'm faced with two option: bring her back to my bedroom and show her how I really feel, or let her walk away, succumbing to the fact that I very well might not be her type.

"I started reading this book thinking it was a cute hockey romance but was quickly disappointed by the constant talk of sex and forced "funny" conversations.
The two main characters meet through their jobs. The guy is a professional hockey player and the girl works for the team. Immediately smitten, the MMC waits to be noticed romantically by the FMC. Unfortunately, the overwhelming cringe and lack of personality makes this one a hard read. It's almost like the author had never before heard guys talk between each other and tried to throw something together, hoping it would sound funny or quirky. It didn't (for me at least). There was one character in the entire book that I actually liked, and he wasn't even the main character. I get that this is the 4th book of a series I haven't read, but the characters seemed to have no personality past their horniness, and the only thing they talked about was hockey, sex and penises.
In the beginning, however, I looked past that. The main characters at least had a little more personality (emphasis on little) and the romance SEEMED to outweigh the cringe. I liked that the attraction wasn't purely physical. So many books nowadays have such emotionless romances. The relationships in the book are simply "I thought you were hot so let's talk", then they try to make it seem like they actually like each other for more than just their bodies. In this book, the characters were interested in getting to know each other. This, however, was quickly shut down when they finally slept together. There was no more romance and it became clear that this book was just a sad excuse to write about some freaky fantasies. I mean, it was chapter after chapter of ****. Even when they tried to get to know each other and "take it slow", they just ended up back in bed. It just ruined the whole romance part because that's basically all that happened. The whole book was a pathetic path to the grand theme of sex."
"this will forever be my favorite book ever!"

"<br/><br/>Holy Halsey! <br/><br/>I have been waiting for Halsey since book one.<br/><br/>Hockey Romance<br/>Roommates to Lovers<br/>Workplace Romance<br/>One Bed <br/>Fake Dating <br/>He Falls first <br/>Possessive Dirty talking MMC <br/><br/>Halsey has been broken since his twin brother’s death. When he meets Blakely for the first time, he finally feels light again. But crushed when he finds out she has a boyfriend. One year later, she needs a place to stay, and Halsey has a room. <br/><br/>I knew going in this was going to be more emotional. What I didn't expect was one possessive dirty talker. Did I get excited and yell Hell Yeah? Yes, Yes, I did! I love the spice in this book! <br/><br/>As always, the author’s book has a captivating storyline, and I couldn’t stop laughing. Meghan Quinn has become one of the go-to authors."

"I should have know my heart couldn’t handle Halsey’s story. <br/><br/>I spent the last 10% of this book crying. I loved the romance and character development in this one so much - my heart felt like it was physically aching during the phone call at the end of the book. I’m so happy we finally were able to hear Halsey’s story after he’s been so quiet in the three previous books. <br/><br/>I would recommend Meghan Quinn’s Vancouver Agitators series to anyone who loves hockey romances and found families ❤️"
